Set-1. Eight persons AA, BB, CC, DD, EE, FF, GG and HH are sitting in a row facing north but
not necessarily in the same order.
Two persons sit between EE and FF. Only one person sits to the right of FF. CC sits third to the
left of DD. EE and CC are not immediate neighbours. More than three persons sit between
HH and AA. Less than three persons sit between BB and GG. BB and FF are not immediate
neighbours. HH is not an immediate neighbour of CC.
Set-2. Nine boxes A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I are arranged one above the other but not
necessarily in the same order. The position of the box arranged is numbered one to nine. The
position of the box at the top is nine. The position of the box at the bottom is one.
Box H is arranged in two boxes above box A. Box H is placed at an odd-numbered position
but not at the top. Box I and box D are arranged adjacent to box A. Three boxes are
arranged between box D and box E. Box C is arranged immediately below box E. Box B is
arranged below box I. Three boxes are arranged between box G and box H. Four boxes
are arranged between box B and box F.
Set-3. Seven persons A, B, C, D, E, F and G attend the lecture in a week starting on Monday and ending on Sunday. Each one of them Purchases different Items viz. Tie, Coat,
Pen, Mouse, Laptop, Shirt and Fan but not necessarily in the same order.
E Purchase the Item on Friday. More than two persons Purchase the Item between E and
the one who Purchases the Fan. Two persons Purchase the Item between D and the one who

Set-4. Eight person A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H lives on eight different floors. The lowermost floor is
numbered 1, the above floor is numbered 2, and so on. The topmost floor is numbered 8.
D lives on the prime numbered floor but does not live on the seventh floor. Three persons live
between D and E. As many persons live above H is as same as the number of persons who lives
below F. Only one person lives between C and F. C lives above F. As many persons live
above D is as same as the number of persons living below B. G lives below A.
Set-5. Seven persons go to participate in a quiz contest in seven different months
starting from January to November.
Ramesh goes in the month which has an even number of days. More than three persons go in between Ramesh and Ritesh. Only two persons go in
between Rahim and Ritesh. Ritik goes after Raju, who does not go in January. Three
persons go in between Ram and Rajesh. Ram does not go after Ritesh. More than the one-month gap between Ram and Rahim going for the quiz.
Set-6. Eight employees are sitting around a square table during a conference, in such a
way four of them sit at four corners while four sit in the middle of each of the four sides. The
one who sits at the corners faces the centre and the others face outside.

neighbour of P. B does not face the centre. O sits third to the right of D who is not an
immediate neighbour of A. O sits second to the right of A. M does not sit to the immediate left

Set-7. Some persons sit in a row facing in the north direction. Ganesh sits third to the
right of Chandan. One person sits between Ganesh and Amit. Two persons sit between
Amit and Bablu. Bablu is on the right of Amit. Jitu sits third from the right end of the row. Anil
sits second from the left end of the row. Eight persons sit to the right of Ganesh. Two
persons sit between Jitu and Farid. No one sits between Jitu and Bablu. More than nine and
less than fifteen persons sit to the left of Jitu. Brijesh sits 3rd right of Anil. Brijesh sits on the
left of Chandan.
Set-8. Eight students are appearing in an examination in four different months- March
to November in two different shifts- 11 AM and 6 PM.
Three people give an exam between Ajay and Lucky. Om gives an exam in the evening shift of
the month which has an odd number of days but after Ronit. Ajay gives the exam in the
month having 30 days but not in November. Only two persons give the exam between Ronit
and Ashok, whose exam is in the month which has an even number of days. Ronit gives an exam
before Ashok. Vinod gives an exam in the month 31 days. Permeet gives an exam in the evening shift but before Ronit. Only two persons give the exam between Vinod and Prem.
Set-9. Eight persons are sitting at a circular table. Some of them face towards the
centre and some of them face outside the centre.
Anup sits second to the right of Jatin.
Rajesh sits second to the right of Anup. The person who sits immediate left of Jatin sits
opposite the one who sits second to the left of Boby. Boby is not his immediate neighbour of Rajesh. Lalit sits opposite Anup. Mohit is not an immediate neighbour of Anuj and
Rajesh. Shakti faces the same direction as Mohit. Shakti faces the opposite direction as
Rajesh. Rajesh, Anuj and Lalit face the same direction. Not more than three persons face
outside the centre.
Set-10. Seven boxes of different colours are placed one above another. Green box is placed above the White box but not just above the White box. Only one box is placed between box Black and Pink.
More than three boxes are placed between the box Pink and Red. Box Red is placed above
box White. As many boxes are placed between boxes White and Orange as placed between
boxes Blue and Red. Box Orange is not placed above box Blue. Blue is not placed
immediately below White. Only two boxes are placed between box White and Red.
Set-11. Six persons are sitting around a triangular table and have equal distance
between them. Three persons sit at the corner of the table facing towards the centre of the
table while those sitting at the middle side of the table facing away from the centre of the
table. Abhi sits to the immediate right of Suraj. One person sits between Abhi and Sagar.
Kapil does not sit next to Vinod. Vinod sits second to the left of Sagar. Sahil does not face outside.
Set-12. Eight persons Ram, Laxman, Bharat, Bheem, Hanuman, Ganesh, Krishna and
Sani sit around a rectangular table but not necessarily in the same order. Three persons sit
on each long side of the table and one person sits on each shorter side of the table. All are
facing outside the centre.
Sani and Hanuman sit opposite each other. Two persons sit between Bharat and
Ganesh. Bharat sits on the longer side of the table. Krishna sits second to the right of
Laxman. Bheem sits second to the right of Ganesh. Krishna is not the immediate neighbour
of Hanuman. Ram does not sit diagonally opposite Hanuman. Ganesh does not sit on
the longer side of the table.
Set-13. Eight persons M, N, O, P, Q, R, S and T live in an eight-storey building (but not
necessarily in the same order) where the ground floor is numbered 1 above it is 2 and so on
and the topmost floor is numbered as 8.
R lives on an odd-numbered floor but not on the ground floor. Two persons live between R and S,
who do not live on the topmost floor. There are three-floor gaps between Q and the one who
lives on the fifth floor. T lives three floors above Q. P lives immediately above N and P does not live
on the top floor. O does not live on an even-numbered floor.
Set-14. Six persons Vickey, Ajay, Arun, Umesh, Rajeev and Rohit have their exams in six
different months viz. February, March, May, July, October and November, of the same year
(not a leap year) but not necessarily in the same order.
There is only one month gap between the exam of Rohit and Umesh. Rohit has the exam
before Umesh. Only one person has the exam between Umesh and Rajeev. Rajeev has the exam in the month having an even number of days. Arun has the exam five months after
Umesh. Vickey is not the person who has the exam at last.
Set-15. Eight persons Sagar, Vinod, Kapil, Arjun, Sachin, Virat, Dhoni and Kamlesh sit
around a square table. Four persons sit at four corners and the rest sit at the middle side of the
table. Four persons face inside and the remaining four face outside the centre of the table. All
the given information is not necessarily in the same order.
Sagar sits second to the right of Virat who sits at the middle side of the table. Virat face
inside the centre. Three persons sit between Sagar and Vinod. Dhoni is not an immediate
neighbour of Sagar and Vinod. Two persons sit between Dhoni and Kamlesh. Kapil sits

Set-16. Eight persons Ramesh, Brijesh, Kamlesh, Dinesh, Rajesh, Ritesh, Jitesh and
Vimlesh were born in four different months viz. January, April, May and September on two
different dates- 5th and 15th but not necessarily in the same order.
Ritesh was born on an odd-numbered date but before May. Three persons were born
between Ritesh and Rajesh. Jitesh was born immediately before Ramesh and both of them were born in different months but not after 15th May. Kamlesh was born immediately after Brijesh
and both of them were born in the same month. Vimlesh was neither born in January nor
in April.
Set-17. Eight friends Rajesh, Lomas, Ravi, Prashant, Hitesh, Abhi, Vijay and Rakesh are
sitting around a square table in such a way that four of them sit at four corners of the
square while four sit in the middle of each of the four sides. Those who sit at the four
corners face the centre of the square table, while those who sit in the middle of the sides
face away from the centre.
Prashant sits third to the left of Rajesh. Rakesh is not an immediate neighbour of Rajesh and
Prashant. Hitesh sits third to the left of Ravi. Ravi does not sit in the middle of any of the

and face north but not necessarily in the same order. Ramesh sits 3rd to the left of Ronit
and one of them sits at any of the extreme ends. The number of persons sitting right to the right
of Ramesh is the same as to the left of Saif. Golu sits 3rd to the left of Ankit. Both Ankit and Saif
are immediate neighbours. Sunil sits 2nd to the left of Raju. Arun sits 3rd from one of the

Set-19. A certain number of persons are sitting in a row, facing North. 3 persons are
sitting between E and B. 5 persons are sitting between B and C. A who sits at one end sits 2nd to the right of D. F and C are not sitting adjacent to each other. F sits 2nd to the left
of D. As many persons sit in between A and E as in between E and C, who is sitting 3rd from
one of the extreme ends of the row. F does not sit at any extreme ends of the row.
Set-20. Ten persons were sitting in 2 parallel rows, facing each other. P, Q, R, S and T were
sitting in a row facing South while K, L, M, N and O were sitting in the opposite row, facing
North, not necessarily in the same order. 2 persons were sitting in between M and K, who
was sitting 2nd to the right of the person facing S, who was sitting immediately right of R. N
was sitting 2nd to the left of the person facing Q. L faces the person who was sitting
immediate left of T, who was not sitting at an extreme end of the row. P sits at one of the
extreme ends of the row and only one person sits between him and R.
